Christmas Bands, Malay Choirs and Minstrel information session

The City will host an information session to outline its events and venue processes for Christmas bands, Malay Choir and Minstrel groups ahead of a busy cultural events season.
The City is calling for Minstrel associations, Minstrel troupe leaders, Christmas band associations, individual bands, and Malay choir associations to register for the information session.
The information session will be held on Tuesday,14 July 2026 to provide an overview on the City’s event permit and venue booking processes.
To be considered for participation in the session, interested parties are requested to register by providing the following information:
Company registration document or Constitution
Organisation’s credentials
Names of chosen representatives (association leaders, choir directors, band leaders or troupe leaders)
Due to venue limitations, associations will be permitted two representatives, while individual troupes, bands and choirs will be allowed to register one representative for the meeting.
Interested parties can make submissions to
events@capetown.gov.za.
Registration will close on 26 June 2026.
